SPS Timeline The SPS Story Strategic Power Systems, Inc. (SPS) was founded in 1987 with the specific goal of monitoring and reporting the reliability, availability, maintainability and performance of combustion and steam turbine systems through ORAP® (Operational Reliability Analysis Program). At our inception, and continuing through today, we recognize that an effective decision support system depends on a strong infrastructure that is based on people, processes, technology and knowledge. It is based on a commitment to excellence. Success for any business begins and ends with people. SPS has a strong desire to meet and serve the needs of our customers, both internally and externally. For SPS this means appreciating customer needs and helping people to be successful. Value is an important component of customer satisfaction. SPS has always realized that the ORAP system will only provide value to our customers if it provides them with information that directly supports their day-to-day business decisions. SPS has worked hard in the last 20 years to provide our customers with a system, through ORAP, that effectively provides them real value...through statistical analysis and timely information. There have been many individuals who have helped SPS since our inception. For SPS, people, plants and performance are central to our business structure. The Future SPS recognizes that the energy industry is facing significant change, structurally and technologically. We are committed as an organization to move with that change and adapt ORAP to provide value in this changing environment. Generating alternatives with greater efficiency and “environmental friendliness” are a driving force in the energy market today. Distributed power, Combined Heat and Power, Fuel cell, Integrated Coal Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) and Wind are viable technologies that SPS is, and will continue to be focused on. As our 20th year as a business continues, we want to stress that we fully appreciate all who have contributed to our success. We will continue to focus on making ORAP the decision-support system that our customers want and can rely on. |
