ORAP Cycles Tracking and Parts Tracking Products Receive United States Patents

Charlotte, North Carolina – March 3, 2008 -- Strategic Power Systems, Inc. (SPS) is pleased to announce that two United States Patents have been given for the ORAP Cycles Tracking™ and ORAP Parts Tracking™ products.  The acquisition of these patents illustrates the uniqueness of the systems as well as the Intellectual Property that each system holds.

ORAP Cycles Tracking is a solution that tracks accumulated cycles information on GE Aeroderivative engines and the associated impact on critical parts life.  This automated system has many features including detecting each cycle, applying the correct GE k-factors for each cycle to specific parts, and calculating consumed life values and assigning these values to the correct part number.

ORAP Parts Tracking is a web-based application designed to record and report the installation, removal, repair, storage and eventual retirement of serialized parts, in other words, Parts Tracking is used to track the Age, Location, and Transactions of serialized parts.

Salvatore Della Villa, President and CEO of SPS comments, “The team at SPS is pleased and honored to receive these United States Patents.  Our Cycles Tracking and Parts Tracking products have been developed over many years to provide our customers with beneficial solutions that add real value.  I am very proud of the team that has developed and continue to manage these products.”
