New ORAP Partnership with Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas (MPSA) Established
Charlotte,
North Carolina – March 3, 2009 -- Strategic Power Systems, Inc. (SPS) is pleased to announce a new OEM ORAP partnership with Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas (MPSA) headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Mitsubishi understands that the availability and reliability characteristics of today’s gas and steam turbine power plants are critical to quality performance metrics for owner/operators and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) alike. SPS’ ORAP system provides an unbiased, third-party resource for Mitsubishi to measure their operating equipment. Mitsubishi and SPS are currently working to implement the Base ORAP system to progressively include Mitsubishi gas turbine and steam turbine units around the globe.
ORAP® is a widely accepted source of operating, failure, and maintenance data for gas and steam turbine plants worldwide. SPS works closely with EPRI, DOE, GE, ALSTOM, Rolls-Royce as well as hundreds of global power plants and we are pleased to add Mitsubishi to that list of partners.
Sal Della Villa, Chairman and CEO of SPS commented on the new partnership “SPS looks forward to working with Mitsubishi and each of their customers. By participating in SPS’ ORAP® system, Mitsubishi will be able to provide their customers timely, accurate, and unbiased availability and reliability benchmarking information. And for SPS, it will strengthen the value of ORAP in the global energy market by broadening the coverage of “F” and “G” class technology represented in the ORAP database.”
