| Bizkaia Energia, owner of the Amorebieta Combined Cycle plant in Spain, will partner with Strategic Power Systems, Inc. (SPS) and Turbine Logic, an expert in combustion dynamics, to proactively monitor their gas turbine combustion health.
Turbine Logic’s Dynamics+ combined with the automated data capabilities of SPS’ ORAP Asset Insight tool will allow Bizkaia Energia to automatically monitor the unique combustion signature of their gas turbines and alert operators to relevant combustion system faults. The physics-based combustion model and patented machine learning algorithms in Dynamics+ provides prognostic capabilities that surpass simplistic trending and threshold alarming. Dynamics+ detects and differentiates changes due to instrumentation issues, tuning problems, or impending hardware failures, before dynamics force an unplanned outage or cause damage to plant equipment.
